this last part is funny to me...... lets see now.... the u.s. needs oil and need an ally in the region. so lets pick the one country that the oil producing states hate the most. that kinda goes over like a turd in the punch bowl.

I'll explain. Israel was an important ally against the threat of a Soviet incursion into the region to seize the oil fields. Was is the key word. I left that out in the other post, sorry bout that. Their value to us now is diminished.

I'll agree that they can hold their own, because of us and because of the nuke card they have to play. Their military would not last without our help. The nukes are a different story.

Israel can take care of itself without any intervention by the U.S. -- it has before. One thing you should learn from history is don't fuck with Israel.

My point to posting this topic was that Obama has his plate full just trying to handle problems here in the good ole' USA, not to mention Iraq and Afghanistan. He can't manage what he has got but feels the need to send that idiot Biden overseas to tell an ally of this country what it should and should not do to try to bring about peace when there can be no peace. It all goes back to Abraham.

Obama should lock that idiot Biden up in a Washington DC closet. I have no like for Obama but would rather have him than Biden in the driver's seat.
