Dude I have never heard of a 20hp Mercury 200. Is that some futuristic motor or what? If you would provide correct information and what exactly you have with CORRECT SPELLING I might be so inclined to help you out. But your current post I have offered all the help I am going to give at this point in time. that is also why you havent received any other info because no one can decipher your posts.

pineisland, they are about 250 bucks. My dad has a 77 model that looks like the day he bought it. His went out a few years ago and had to buy one. Check out iboats.com, they may have one. Some folks call em a power pack. Very tough motor!

chuck, the old 70's mercs were marked like he said. My dad's says 200 on it. My brother has a 70's model 50 and it says 500.

Everyone else quoted me about $235-$250 for the same CDI box. I have installed the one the guy sold me and the motor is working fine. Give him a call pineisland guy.

Oh and by the way I think those old model motors were marked like that becuase the were actually 20.0 or 50.0 because of all the old small hp motors a 200 hp would sometimes be marked such as 200.0 and now after the period has worn off would appear as a 2,000 hp motor. Thats just my observation on all that.

Pine, I have a good mechanic in your parts who works out of his shop in his backyard and often has parts for stuff.

    Call 843-503-3945. Ask for Dustin.

Tell him that Justin sent you.

If he doesnt work out, there is another guy who has a veritable smorgasbord of used motor parts in Loris. Hollar if you need his digits.
