Nope - He's wild
Yeap - He's a Tamie

They say the only time a fishermen tells the truth is when he tells you another fisherman is a liar.

Tamie and he knows it, why you think he's trying to drown himself.

How outlandish would it be if we were able to do studies on the population of migratory mallards in SC?
damn, we can't.
We have the MRP.
Ducks raised in chicken houses in Georgetown are factored into our migratory harvest data.
Ban canned hunts.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Rubberhead when will you disclose your findings?

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it's a tamie. His left foot actually seems to have a toenail on the dew claw. The foot on the right has a visible rear toe but it looks clipped to me. There is no toe nail and it looks like the tip of the bone is showing.
Here's a known clip toe because it had a band too:

I believe it's a tamie that has survived a season or two migrating
Clipped toe=tamie. I don't care though, they all make a big splash that Gumbo likes.

Hard to tell, could be natural anomaly. Hell I killed a woodie that was missing an entire leg. After plucking I found that it was born without one...
I use to raise mallards and the colder the weather got the oranger their feet got.
1 smart wild duck......
