    Default Landscaping advice

I don't know if this is the right forum but move it if it is not. I am fixing up the yard this spring and have seeded and fertilized in the past but with no luck. I have a small front yard and a very small back yard so watering would not be a huge issue. What is the best seed for Charleston soil and when is planting? Is it best to call the state extension agent ?
    Thanks for any help,

    Sean

It is not a bad idea to get a free soil test to see what fertilizer, pH (lime), etc you will need.
