    Default Last Dinner

I've been eating light and getting ready for summer. I hate chicken, salads, and running. That got me thinking tonight about what I really wanted. My last meal I'll start. (Hell, I've been reading all of this end of day talk on some of the upper threads)

My favorite, and what I call meat butter to start foie gras. I'd like one of the two pieces drizzeled with honey and served with a bottle of Chateau D'Y quem. 2nd, it took me a little bit to think about this one, but I'd like a 18oz bone in rib-eye. I'd like it raw seared with a little olive oil and sea salt and on the side four soft shell crawdads. Not to fancy of a drink but my everyday scotch Glenlivet 12y no ice and a tblsp of water. For my sweet tooth, a 6" plate of creme brulee with a glass of an Australian sticky, and to finish I'd like a glass of 1977 vintage port followed with five more glasses of scotch.

That is where I'm at right now. Sorry for my rambling thoughts, but it's been a long day. And you got me, yes I would like to go out with a slight buzz.

I'll continue...two duck breasts deep fried in peanut oil (quickly, leaving the middle rare), a little s, p, and sage. Two shots of Dickel, two gb rips, and follow it all up with a butter seared filet from one of my grandfather's cows.
I might be allergic, but I'll try it anyway.

I left out fowl. I'd like a squab and goat cheese salad.

Four Makers and Water.....light on the water.

Oysters and Fried Green Tomatoes perhaps with a little pimento cheese.

Bone in Rib-eye.....just like you mention, sea salt and a touch of olive oil, medium rare, damn near raw when you hit the bone.

Nice bottle (or two) of Cabernet.

Creme Brulee straight up...no added flavor.

    A couple of more Makers.

Highstrung, you and the wifey need to come over and hit Saluda's with T and I.

Fois Gras and Ostrich that will make you question what you selected above.

Damnit, now I'm thinking about a scored Peking duck breast. Sear that fat down and deglaze it with a little 10yr old Madiera. MMMMMMM ( I'd like to add one fried shellcracker + the tail = mmmmmm)

I would start with some calamari(all rings) with a lemonbutter and pepper sauce, chicken Bryan from carrabbas five or six duck wraps (marinated wrapped in bacon with bannana peppers and provolone cheese) wash that down with some Tullamore Dew, some garlic and broccoli steamed together-a shot of chambord to chase it then finish up in my lazy boy with some tollhouse cookies and a large glass of milk.

I'd take about 3 broad river smallmouth, 14" long, fileted, and fried in new hog lard. Then I'd want a a bait of fries and the biggest wad of homemade tartar sauce I could find. Top it off with a pitcher of the sweetest tea ever, and I'd die happy as a puppy with two peckers.

Hell...... If i were eating my last meal tonight... I would like a plate full of bar-b-q pork cooked over pecan....... A few dove and duck breast, marinaded in some good stuff, wrapped in bacon between a slice of onion and a piece of banana pepper, cooked over pecan after the hog was taken off.... Couple that with a few pieces of fried flounder fresh from the charleston harbor, a case of budlight, and a few shots of crown, and i would die happy.....

As of tonight I'd like to add a spicey tuna hand roll, and a home made bowl of vanilla ice cream with 2 jiggers of Chambord on top. (I was hungry last night.)

My last meal would consist of a cheeseburger and a 12 pack of natural light. I'm a simple man.

BS, you forget I know you to well. It would be 6 cans of Natty light, 3 btls of Natty light, 1 can of Busch Light, and 2 cans of Bud light that somebody left in your fridge. How about the cheeseburger on Sunday, and I did like your wedge salad. ( By the way you left a Nat light in my fridge.)
