    Default conservation permit question

    This may be a dumb question but what is a conservation permit and what is what is the reasoning for having one and what does it allow you to do..just figured I would ask after wondering for so long..

    you basically have to be invited to get one.

    yea I can def see that happening on here. I have never known anyone personally to have one so thats why I was wondering

    Well since somebody let the cat out of the bag. One of the requirements is that you must apply in person for it. DNR tried the mail applications once but there were a lot of problems with it. Trad can fill you in a little better on who to see, some people that were handling them are no longer with DNR due to budget cuts and such.

    I lost mine some time ago and it took almost a year to get it reproduced. Computers are not all they are cranked up to be at the office of the dnr. I had to go down there in person to make it happen.

    Mine was passed down from my Grandfather to my Father to me. I plan on passing mine to my son when I turn 60. I don't think he will be ready for the responsability until then. I will start showing him the ropes in a few years!

    MDS...It is a urban myth. It is something made up by some of these guys that shoot out of season and post pics. It does not exist. It's sort of like the "crazy card" you hear some people have possession of.

    The Hang Test is, well, one tough MOFO. At my age I am PROUD to still pass it.
