I haven't been on the water yet. My planned hunting spot actually has too much water on it to be ideal right now. But I will give it a try Saturday anyhoo.

It should be getting right pretty soon. My 11 year old has been bugging me to take him.
If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

SR, do you ever paddle off the dock and cast back to the lights?
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Just got back from the Chesapeake bay! They are just starting to move in the bay. Keepers were 47lb, 44, 36, and 29. Caught quite a few that didn't make the 34" limit. Free lineing live eels.

Getting boat cleaned up and ready to start, like to shoot 1 more deer and 1 or two more hogs and then lines in the water.

Hartwell is VERY muddy due to all this rain, by the way who would have figured this time last year it would be running over

At least you caught one, and a nice one congrats

Not much to report for saturday, I tried everything I could throw at them from live bait on freelines and downrods to trolling u rigs.

Not even a bite, did miss a good opportunity. While I was getting my u rigs set up I had some very large fish hitting bait on surface not 30 yards from my boat but had brain lock and could not get my casting rod out of rod holder quick enough. I actually was watching them for 2-3 minutes enjoying the show.

I started out at T14 and there were several other boats there, I figured they were in tx so I tried to give them plenty of room but never saw anyone catching anything

Stayed there a couple of hours and then headed to look and finally went up 3 & 20 and pulled baits (drowned baits more like it) for 3 hours and did mark some fish but not a bit. Did try and drop some down on the fish but no bites.

Saw the schooling on other side of 85 bridge when I ws getting set up for u rigs and pulled u rigs almost all the way back to ramp with no bites

Water temp was 46 for the most part, hopefully this warmer weather will pick up back up over 50 since that seems to be the majic number
