neither are hard to set up , you just have to go with what is lite and comfortable, i have a fred bear bow,(my first bow) and it kills fish fine, 45lbs draw.

Shoot a recurve or lighter draw weight compound. My first bowfishing setup was an old browning cobra 2 cam bow with a Zebco 808...lowest it would go was 55 lbs. Ended up shooting through everything I hit and when I missed, it was a bear to get out of the mud. Several muzzys are still stuck in stumps at Russell, I'm sure. I now shoot a 50# Quinn Stingray with a AMS retriever.
