    Did anyone hunt the draw hunt at the Cape on 1/27.I was supposed to go but something came up at the last minute and could not make it.If so.how did you do?

    Look on the DNR website for results...it sounded like it was slow though, birds just weren't flying much.

    The Cape had a great hunt on the 27th. Unfortunately, we had a sorry one at Cedar Island the next day although our blind did OK - I took a gadwall drake, hen bluebill and a nice mottled duck. Lots of birds around, but they wouldn't fly in the 30+ MPH winds.

    27th the Cape - 85 birds/18 hunters - 4.72/hunter
    28th Cedar Island - 27 birds/12 hunters - 2.25/hunter

    The wardens told us that morning to expect a great hunt based on the previous day and the Murphy Island hunt on the 26th, but it didn't happen. Still saw a lot of birds and had a great time.
