    Default Something Different

This is really the only other bird or game animal I have ever thought about having mounted. RingKing did all he could to put us on the birds and this happened to be the only one we scored on last year when I was up for my visit. We did run up on a group of about 50 birds after we got this one but could never catch up to them after we initially busted the group, covey, or whatever you call it. Ideally I would have liked to have gotten a few so I could have eaten a few but it just didn't work out. I hear these suckers are REALLY good! Oh well I guess I'll have to go back Anyway this should get a rise out of Sasha

    very nice.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

its basically a form of tundra roaming grouse.
I would love to hunt them one day.
I can imagine they are quite sporty with that white coat.

Squatty, that's the reason I'll probably never have a turkey mounted. No way I'm wasting that meat and I've not had anyone tell me that they could mount it and save the meat.

    Beautiful mount by the way.

yea I know what you mean. Unless it's the size of a VW bug and at least 1 1/2 inches on both spurs a turkey mount wouldn't get any consideration. Besides I don't have room for one of them now anyway and I love to eat!

I think the only Turkey species I know FOR SURE I'd have done would be an Ocelated but that ain't happening anytime soon.
