    Default Black Bear in Chapin

Have any of y'all heard about the black bear that was seen yesterday in Chapin. One of my good friends, who is a gunsmith and an avid hunter, just called me and said he had a approx. 150 lb black bear in his yard yesterday near Lake Murray. Lexington County came out and called DNR, but DNR couldn't get out there yesterday. I just thought some of you might be interested to know that there was one seen around here.

No, it was actually off of Putnam Dr, off Wessinger Road, near the lake.

That is literally in my backyard. I have a 25 acre wetland area that my backyard boarders. I'm going to look for tracks tomorrow morning. I'm glad I lost all of my large calibur handguns and rifles in the river last week.

That bear walked right through my back yard on Hope Ferry in Lexington. My old Aunt who was staying here at the time almost lost her mind when she saw him. It was pretty amusing and a great story. I am a little worried about all the kids we have here, there are 9 kids here on our 4 home little tract. They say not to worry but I still do. Got a loaded rifle out just in case.

Leave them alone and send them over the riva to newberry county. Damn, just DAMN! You all think you got to get a gun just cause a bear is around. I would be more worried about some crack, meth, etc. heads on my land than a bear.
