    Default wheat

if I plant wheat now, will it be ready to hunt over by the Thanksgiving dove season? Will it head out with the lack of sunlight come fall?

Wheat takes about 8 months. Browntop millet is cheap and easy. See this for more ideas.

I doubt brown top will last. Depends on how many acres you planting and how many turks are around.

Browntop attracks grasshoppers. Grasshoppers attrack turkeys. It's all good.
