Went to Kershaw this weekend with my good friends on their property for deer. The weather sucked for the deer bad. Hunted Friday pm in 30kts didnt see squat and was going to hunt deer Saturday morning too but when i woke up and felt the winds and saw the clouds i jumped at the opportunity to hunt their impoundment. As my luck has been all year, right before shooting time the clouds cleared and the wind died. Birds flew decent despite the spring weather. Saw several hundred birds way up. Managed to break 6 mallards out of the groups (4 greenheads and 2 hens). Only shot at the drakes and only 1 got away. YES, they had all of their toes which was nice....Had one pass from a pair of honkers but couldnt get them to commit. Wasnt bad though with the weather. Deer hunted that afternoon and the bottom dropped out right at twilight time and didnt see squat oh well.
