Tacoma cv boots

04 Tacoma approximately 2” OME lift with diff drop.

My research on Tacoma world said 2” should have been very safe on CV axles and boots. First set of inners went out immediately after lift, most likely 20 years old no big deal. Second set of OEM inners started separating in 6 months. Trucks a mall crawler and thank goodness he stays out bad stuff for now.

Anyway, any of you tried those Trakmotive cv axles that are supposedly made for lifted vehicles? I know they are not as good as OEM, but with no grease OEM ain’t gonna hold up either.

Any luck on a fix?

I’ve never seen a boot issue on anything but 2007 and up GMs leveled. Can’t even recall a lifted Toyota with a bad boot.

We use Trakmotive and the best price we’ve found is at Rock Auto.

Did it to my 01', worked out great & wanna say my Tundra but I'm not 100%.

Thanks for the help, this job just got put on the back burner. Driver decided they were going to make a left turn over his Tacoma earlier.
