They are everywhere on the Mississippi River. When I was down there in May we were right by a grain dock in Garyville & they are as bad as geese. I’ve never seen so many.

Are you building them? If so, where are you sourcing you’re lumber? I can’t find 1x12 cedar anywhere for less that $11/ft. I assume cypress from a small op sawmill would be best but I don’t know anyone with that kind of operation.

There is a mill in Denmark SC that has cypress. Shane Spell 803-383-1933 is the fella to hit up for boards.
A buddy is building a cabin in NC and is bringing me some extra 1 x 12 Vermont white cedar for duck boxes. Whereabouts are you located?
