Never been a RAM fan, but after driving a Hurricane model 1500 as a rental for a week I wouldn't hesitate on owning one, that truck drove and rode extremely well.

Drove a dodge 1500 Hemi rental a while back and was impressed with the pick up and interior. Probably not going to buy one

While I was looking for a new truck I drove my buddy’s 2022 1500 with the hemi and really liked it. Great interior, handled well. It had the 8 or 10 speed transmission which would make me nervous but otherwise I really liked it.

I bought a 4-year-old used ram in 2018 with 64,000 miles, drove it for quite a few years and gave it to my son who is in college to drive, after I bought another ram. The 2014 now has 180K miles and never had an issue with it. Haven't had any issues with my current ram either. So, I went from never owning a ram to having two sitting in my yard in only 8 years. Was a diehard GM fan until my last two gave me motor / lifter issues.

Ram is in bed with ZF because of when Daimler owned Chrysler.

You will not see common trans failures in a Chrysler with a German transmission in it.

GM on the other hand… 4L60E failure 6L80 Failure 8L90 Failure and 10L80/90 Failure
