I wonder why they don't have a meeting scheduled in Richland County, where it is a big problem because they are turning dogs out on tracts that are less than 30 acres.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
Those meetings will be such a cluster fuck of ideas from the dog hunters that are the problem with(this is heritage. Shouldn't have moved here, dogs can't read signs etc...)
I can't stand this mentality and it is this group of dog hunter that are making it bad on the rest of us.
Everyone wants to throw the acreage limits into the equation. But it all goes back to holding the ones accountable that are causing the problems.
Acreage is not the answer. It only hurts those of us that want it to be done right. We hunt small acreage tracts often and neighbors never have any issues from us.
Who cares what day of the week they hunt or how many times they hunt if the dogs are kept on the land they have permission to be on?
Only allowing Dachshunds for deer is the answer. Nothing else will work.

But dogs can’t read trespassing signs bo.
Keep em on a leash...
There are a lot of things that make me sad with the changing times. Our great state of South Carolina has changed from a rural state to a populated state. Going away is foresty and farming and hunting. From a very personal level I have enjoyed my children growing up and having all sorts of pet dogs and hunting dogs. Our little pack of medium deer dogs are pets that run deer. They are collar broke and come when called. We love it and enjoy it but I know this way of life is going away fast. We will not be getting younger dogs to train. When our youngest dogs can’t go anymore due to age, we will throw away the garmins and we will go quietly. We will find some other avenue to enjoy that hopefully includes dogs.
Funny I saw a fella post about this meeting on instagram earlier today talking about preserving his heritage. I guess his heritage didn't have a problem cutting 32 dogs loose in November on 100 acres and running them through neighboring properties and a tract I hunt. Killing over 20 deer, many of which were across property lines.
I don't care how anyone kills a deer as long as they keep it on their side the property line.
I’m curious if this was an issue 100 years ago or more

Shelbo - if you don't have a dog in the fight, you don't have land being ruined on a weekly basis. Imagine if you had someone else's dogs on your Hampton property every week. Land that you had leased and worked on all year... sitting in a stand and watching dogs run across the power line while you are trying to relax and enjoy all the WORK you have put in.
No one has anything against dog hunting. But when said dogs infringe on your/my property then it must stop.

Private property rights > heritage and fun
Do you want you want to on your land. Enforce the laws already in place and the problem solves itself. The jack legs yelling about heritage and whatever are the ones that are going to ruin it for everyone else. I grew up dog hunting and have grown to despise it because the way its done in sc. So many have no respect for others and make up ridiculous excuses for thier behavior. Enforce trespassing laws and its handled. Same goes with hunting from public roads. If I was to put a deer stand up on a paved road I would probably go to jail. Why can 15 retards with shotguns post up on a pavement and run deer and dogs into on coming traffic? Its an enforcement issue
We are always looking for more dog hunting land. Those of you that have shitty dog hunting neighbors find a way to get the lease on it and we will lease it from you.
Your days of dogs in your property every weekend will go away.
We dont hunt same land every week to give the land a break and give the neighbors a break from hearing dogs running.
