I am trying to learn more about this weed as a quail food source. I have been told it grows naturally in the Palmetto State, and is not invasive. I have also been told that it is viewed as a nuisance by farmers because cattle won't eat it and it is often removed or burned out. Any thoughts are welcome...I have never looked for it and would like to know just how 'naturally occurring' it is.
