    Default New SC flathead record.

Beats the old record by 30lbs, second largest ever caught on rod and reel.

It’s all the rage in the redneck community. Impressive for a river that gets hammered with the limb lines.

I started watching the video but couldn’t get past the guys voice and the sappy background music.

Limb lines can't get to where the big flatheads live most of the time unfortunately. I think my biggest is 48 on rod and reel, hard to fathom one more than double that. Mouth would be big enough to swallow a basketball. A 15 pounder will eat a 1 pound shellcracker without issue. Imagine all the native fauna that 113 has wiped out. Kill em all

This popped up on my feed yesterday. Field & Stream caught wind if it apparently. Never thought about the age. 50 years, hell I dunno.

I didn't think flatheads got that big.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Yeah, no doubt. That and the jealous mouthbreathers commenting on feeds about; should've released it, why'd you kill it, etc., please, every dang one of them would've killed that fish and not thought twice about it. Congratulate the guy for catching it and setting the record.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I'd have killed it and nailed his still breathing ass to a tree.

Native fauna? Is that flathead not native?

No and neither are blue catfish or white perch. Which is probably why you can’t find white bass in Marion.

A “native” gar tastes better than a native flathead that tastes better than a native bream of any flavor. That’s just reality.

And a non-native largemouth bass falls between the catfish and bream. You can pretend otherwise, but you’re wrong.

Curler, not sure I’m following your logic but a shellcracker fried in lard is top notch.

That’s entirely subjective, admittedly, but I dare you to prove me wrong.

Who cares what’s native, they’re all here to stay. Kill and eat them.
