Well, the ATHell traffic was epic yesterday as the Soccer fans descended upon the State Capitol..

Okay, I was wrong about a couple of things...

1) The US team looks phenomenal - the best I've ever seen them look. The first half of the Paraguay game, they looked like they could win the whole thing. Whoever this Russell Crowe look-alike manager is, he's got them playing like a mature team. If you've never watched International Soccer before, now might be a good time to check out the US team. I'm going to predict that 3 weeks from now, that the USMNT heal the nation's divisions and unify us to a common purpose...

2) FIFA has done a great job (so far). The referees have been very, very good. Maybe it's not all pre-planned after all...

They actually showed a yellow yesterday for "simulation", ie pretending to have been fouled...it was refreshing.

Spot on Rubberhead. Best I’ve ever seen a US squad play. Aggressive. Smart. Clean until the second half when they got a touch sloppy. Beautiful soccer.
