    Default Fripp Island Inlet

Is the Inlet on the north side of Fripp navigable? It doesn’t not appear so. Heading down for a week this Saturday and no way I’m sitting on the beach or in the house.

I haven't been through there at low water recently but the short answer is yes.....but, it's an inlet!

Half tide and up its pretty easy. Towards low tide you need to know where channel is. One time through on decent day and you will have it in your chart plotter.

Unless something has changed drastically since last year you can run jt. Tarpon should be showing up in good numbers soon.

Down there last year, first time, and do not recall any issues but really did not fish as much as I thought

Headed back to Harbor Island Saturday , will be launching at Russ Pointe landing

11 yr old grandson has become infatuated with fishing so I hope to get to fish more this year

If I had the choice, I'd use a small blue crab or a pinfish. Mullet work if they are small ones.

Dead mullet are preferred to live ones in my experience.

    Crabs will get bit.

All of it will get you sharked up. Just have plenty circles hooks and a fresh spool of 80 lb. I know a fella who is a tarpon whisperer and he prefers dead bait on the bottom.
I prefer to be tit deep vs shark fishing in all that heat!

Or make it easy on yourself and stick a ZMan Minnow on the bottom.
