Rain wise, I've been lucky. My electric fence has done the trick for two years but I’m a little paranoid after reading some of the comments. Hopefully, mine continues to work. I also tried a little corn for the first time and right now it’s looking good. I’m small time compared to some of yall. Only about 4 acres which includes some millet around the perimeter. Fingers crossed things keep progressing in the right direction.
We planted 5/1 and then got rain less than week later. Had some coming up when were out there setting power poles for fake power line. We got millet around in strips as well. We may end up plowing and planting more millet but deer have hit sunflowers harder this year than ever for some reason.

We have a pretty large field buy only plant about 4-6 acres According to him we might have 2 acres of sunflowers now
