    Default Citadel boat crash

What a mess. You (or I) don't touch the wheel in my boat after drinking. Those days are long behind us. Either you have a designated driver or the boat stays at the hill. I hauled out for Memorial Day just to avoid the drunks...

    Tragic situation.

There was a boat accident on Murray years ago that involved a member of this site that took eight years of his life in a state penitentiary over a couple drink drinks before I get behind the wheel of a boat.

    Yep. Good guy, horrible situation.

He was one of those guys that I would never question borrowing my boat if his was in the shop.

There was a lot of unanswered questions on toxicology in his case…… his questions would’ve been a moot point had he left the boat at the dock.

Fucked up things happened to good people more than we’d like to admit.

Driver of the boat tested negative for alcohol?

I just got back from camp yesterday and made a day trip back upriver, normally I run at 2 a.m., less traffic, but I use radar. I won't run that river at night without radar now, or drink and drive a boat, day or night.

If I was a betting Man, I bet that alcohol test was conducted to 24 hours after the accident.

Article said he had drank earlier in the day but a blood draw at the hospital came back negative for alcohol.
