Is that Danny Ford, coach, that’s running? Can’t believe no one said anything about that?

There's no shortage of status quo, so fear not. And the Yankees are clearly more inspired. We need you to run JAB!

Shit, we have Vince Dooley's son Derek amongst the idiots running for GOP Senator over here. Against a shitebag named Jon Ossoff who is the current Democrat Senator.

You would think name recognition alone is worth something, but it's not. " You get the government you deserve" indeed

West used to be pretty high up at Amick Farms. As light bulbs go, he might be the brighter of the other options when it comes to Ag Commissioner. That's not saying much though. Fairly thin talent pool in this group.

He owns the dirt or sand within the corners of his property. A good friend of mine surveyed it before he built the seawall. That seawall is on property owned and deeded to the Reddy's. He is protecting his property. Now if you want to argue about whether we should be building all these big homes at the beach, that is a different story but if we can't have seawalls to protect our homes why can we have homes there?

Just because some unelected bureacrat came up with a regulation and got it codified does not mean we the people should have to bend to it. Don't be weak kneed.

David H. Lucas Vs SC Coastal Council comes quickly to mind. Beating those dirty hippies into submission was fun...

I don't know Jeremy Cannon personally but have some good friends that do and they think highly of him.

Fred West should stay retired. I read his editorial letter that was in fitsnews, I would counter him and say the only man out there stumping for him currently was the leader of the Dept of Ag while this decline occurred (Hugh Weathers). Fred West's experience is with a chicken integrator and processor. That industry has been sued once or twice for anti-trust....

With two sons that work for a farm, I will take their recommendation and vote for Fred West. Their livelihoods are affected by it. I no gonna knock any others running, but they say West is the best choice. I will go with that.
Honey...I'll do it after the season is over.

What about the doctor chic that is running against Graham. I have not a clue what she brings to the table. I doubt she gets 1% of the vote if that. Makes no sense to me.

What’s their reasoning behind supporting him?

I’m hesitant of a past employee (HR Director at that) of a corporate chicken farm. I’d prefer a family farmer that knows what the other family farmers are struggling with.

Hugh didn't exactly inspire confidence at AG. Couldn't care less who the next one is. Phillip- who should we be behind for Governor? Ohio Evette is a non starter.

    Alan Wilson!
    Yup, he's crazy...

Their farm is family owned but very large based on SC sizes - it is a business, not a hobby. They ship nationwide and have international interests as well. West comes from a corporate background and better understands the national and international issues and how they affect farmers in SC. Nearly every issue a small farmer deals with, they do on a larger scale.

I do believe that Hugh got complacent (burned out?). I am glad he did not run for re-election this year.

You need to get off FB. Apparently Reddy won that case against the state because it is within his property lines.

They should remember that Goldfinch blocked Constitutional Carry in 2019 while he chaired the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee.

They should remember that he voted against efforts to revive the legislation before it died that year.

They should remember that he supported another senator's amendment that would have eliminated Constitutional Carry entirely.

And they should remember that in 2024 he sought amendments that would have changed the bill and altered its fundamental purpose.
Today, as Goldfinch seeks higher office, South Carolina gun owners deserve to evaluate his record based on actions—not campaign slogans, election-year messaging, or political rhetoric."

What was Yellabirds issue with CC?
Thanks for that info. I had forgotten about his duplicity.

Wilson was my pick until I started looking into the claims about him being soft on child predators. It turns out that his claims about working to increase minimum prison times is moot since his prosecution and conviction record after 14(?) years is below the national average. SC politicians seem to enjoy the challenge of being in the worst quarter of every category.

No sane person with an iota of sense would vote for Evette, Mace is a drama queen with apparent ADHD, and Norman keeps trying to prove that he should retire into the sunset. It’s sad when a former Exxon/Mobil VP immigrant from India is our apparent best bet. My wife says I may have to write in Yogi Bear & Boo Boo.

What’s the take on Stumbo? I have a real hard time considering a Biden/Harris/Clinton ass-kisser like Pascoe, no matter how hard he s teams that he’s “reformed”.
