It's pretty laughable that they use a "fair trial" argument, as if those even exist anymore.

smile on his face says it all. If he is guilty he should be convicted in a fair trial. Maybe a change of venue is in order for that to happen. It won't be fair in the low country courts and local juries as it will be tainted one way or the other. This is a terrible crime and i hope he did not commit double murder but if he did burn him. Maybe the court lady did all that so he would get off. who knows her real motive but money and hate are two.

I would argue he will never get a fair trial. Way too much publicity, unless they could seat a jury that had not read a newspaper, watched or listened to the news or internet in for the last 6 years or talked to anyone that has. Interesting rabbit trails to chase...

That is why Hooptie gets the big bucks , like you not sure how they get a trial with 12 that do not know anything about this one . Probably a ploy to get him in Fed Pen instead of State pen is my guess

This was not any kind of incredible lawyering by Harpootlian. You simply can’t have the clerk of court trying to influence jurors. I believe I could have gotten him a new trial without the help of a Holiday Inn Express.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

I bet ol Becky is digging herself a hole about 10 feet deep to hide in. On another note, he will never get past that audiotape off of Paul’s phone.

Heard Wilson on one of the news shows earlier saying all of this was reported during and post trial. No one thought much of it. Tricky Dick and the Murdaugh machine must’ve been working the good ole boy network pretty hard. Won’t surprise me if he gets off on the charges. Everybody knows he did it, heck OJ’s probably say the MF’rs guiltier than I am. At least he’s still in a jail cell for the other crimes.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Nahhhh... she was just a dumb redneck looking at dolls signs. He will be proven guilty again. Really won't matter as he is no in for 40 years on the fraud/theft charges, separately.

You don't have to find a jury that knows nothing about the case. You just need 12 people smart enough to know what reasonable doubt is, and to apply the evidence to the standard of reasonable doubt. As a former LEO, I have seen both sides in trials, and I have been the foreman of a jury in a federal case where we all KNEW the SOB on trial was guilty, but were smart enough to know that the government did not prove it....so we had to find him not guilty.

    It's really not rocket surgery.

Rocket science or not the defense will argue he’ll never get a fair trial now. They will use the unfair trial, the publicity etc to their benefit. He may not walk but this time the prosecutions case will be weak. SLED investigators that spent over 17 hours on the stand are now retired. It’s going to be a shit show.

The defense learned from their mistakes, but so did the prosecution. And to be fair, if the prosecution cant convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that he is guilty, then he isn’t guilty. Obviously he isn’t innocent, but the system is here for a reason.
    They will get him.
