Thanks USMCSilver. I picked up that Mark IV at lunch and a suppressor. I paid more than the one you had but after transfer and not having to mail order (plus my impatience) made it worth it for my first. They said I could probably pick it up on Monday. For ~$700 all in, it was unthinkable three years ago. MG

    You're welcome.

    It's a disease! Holler when you're ready for a 9mm suppressor.

Can #2 this week. Needless to say, my birthday week has gone rather well.

That's not a rimfire can; just sharing the joy of a 2nd approval this week.

But, it sounds damn good for what I've tried so far. I shot my Rugged Obsidian 9 in full-size configuration on here, then used the smaller, lighter, titanium SiCo Spectre 9. It sounds much better with very little FRP.

It's no Cat MOB by any means, but it sounds great (especially for the sale price).

I need to try it beside by OCL Lithium and see which wins. I'm kinda guessing the Lithium will win since it is almost 2x the weight, but who knows?

For giggles, I'll probably do a comparison against my Innovative Arms Shepherd 45 can, too. It's actually pretty damn amazing with a few drops of water added to it. It beat out a SiCo 46m Hybrid a few weeks ago at a buddy's house. I was kinda shocked.

Any feedback on vent 2 supressors? Considering a PTR.

So, I've never shot the Glock, but getting a threaded one isn't exactly cheap. I like the Ruger, but the capacity is pretty low for a "truck gun." If you want very small -- the Beretta Bobcat is hard to beat.

However, if you're considering a Glock, then I'd get a Taurus TX22 (22 round capacity). The Taurus is also about 1/2 the price of the Glock once you find a threaded barrel. The Taurus is the best thing to ever come out of Brazil (I freakin' hate Taurus)! Mine has been awesome after a little chamber work and will shoot anything I put in it.

6 mags are on the bottom layer.

You suck at cutting foam,, idk I had to find something to talk shit to you about lol lol

Would prefer a k (PTR9KT), but reviews seem mixed related to that platform reliably performing supressed.

Haha. Looks a little better in person. It's functional, that's all that matters.

Actually, I've shot a set-up exactly like that and it worked fine. I do believe it had a 90° locking piece installed.

The Vent 2 is an extremely quiet can and is possibly the quietest. However, the Cat MOB seems to be retarded as the best PCC can out there. Sound wise - I cannot tell a difference. I think the MOB is a tad shorter, but also a tad heavier.

Two others that are new to the market with great reviews are the Rugged Sub9 and the OCL Milkman. The Sub9 is ready to attach to a trilug, where everything else needs an adapter. Speaking of, I am using a titanium Resilient trilug adapter on the Cat and a SiCo on my OCL Lithium.

I was going to buy a Vent 2 before PTR started trying to sue anyone printing suppressors. They basically said the process is patented and they own the rights to doing that. That didn't bode well with LOTS of people.

Not quite $100, but $162 delivered.

I'm probably gonna give this one a whirl, too. I've still got a bunch of threaded .22's that could use new "thread protectors."

Nothing more fun than a suppressed .22 handgun
I have the Dead Air Mask, I tried a lot of them and wanted the quietest first round pop I could get.
This was it. I polished everything inside the gun and it is stupid reliable and ridiculously quiet.
I need a threaded barrel Ruger 10/22 now

Drop it off at Innovative Arms and let Phillip knock it out.

(Edit - I think I read that wrong, but SURELY you already own a 10/22!)

Actually, cut it down, and SBR it while you're at it!

He just cut and threaded a barrel for me for a 7mm mag build I am doing and it turned out great and very reasonable on price. Soooo glad we have somebody like that right here in town.

Got others to compare it to?

Did you file as individual or trust?

A 16yr old tac 65 that hasn’t been taken apart in 15 years.

It will be filed as an individual when it comes in.

If you have a "first round pop" suppressor........Which means the "pop" is gong to about as loud as unsuppressed.( I have shot those and was NOT impressed).......Why bother?........My dead Air Mask is as quiet the first shot as the 50th............Cost more. But worth it.

    FRP varies across brands.

Nothing I have (minus the shitty JK can) has a FRP that sounds anything like being unsuppressed!

I have plenty of quality cans with zero FRP...

Sayin' a can ain't worth owning if it has FRP is foolish, IMHO. If I'm shooting dozens (or hundreds) of rounds, then why does a little bit of a pop matter on the 1st shot? I'm not some super secret assassin needing to mask my presence on the initial shot.

If I were really that concerned, then I'd add a few drops of water, or coat the baffles in some dielectric grease.

I'll EASILY take a dozen $100 cans with a little FRP vs 3 DA cans. Cheap cans serve a purpose, but definitely aren't "do-all" solutions for a .22. I definitely wouldn't run a lot of the cheap crap with simulated full-auto.
