Default Two Years in a Row

For the second time in two years, some lowlife snuck into my field and poached a bird.

Sounds like it was his field. Maybe there is a back story here but that would burn me up too

One of my buddies was out hunting with his son last weekend and heard a hen. He said it didn't sound right and slowly started moving in on it and found 2 guys set up on his land. He knew who both of them were... well, their parents anyways. I work night shift and have a 30 mile drive home on back roads so I see trucks all the time in the mornings I can only imagine are riding around looking for birds in fields. Windows down with binos. People just suck. Too bad the man doesn't ride up on them. You kinda feel like you should call them in but at the same time, I don't know that they don't own or have permission on the piece they are looking at.

I would be beyond irate if someone poached on my land. Do you know, for certain, that the bird was shot versus natural predation?

Turkey season is a constant battle with trespassers. Walking over a gate with posted signs.

One guy even has his tennis shoes on. A veteran at this.

Certainly no 10th legioners in your photos.

Definitely a person both times. Footprints coming out of a hedgerow last year, coming out of the woods this year.

Looks like the same flat bill and the same shoes. Probably the same guy.

I’d hate to be faced with the options presented by catching a trespasser in the act on my land using a fan to reap turkeys…I’d have a tough time determining the right thing to do. This guy is playing with fire over a damned bird! Crazy!
