Got mine in the ground today. Experimenting with a little corn but not sure if it will make in time. Went ahead and got sunflowers in the ground since we had the rain in the forecast. Looks like I got lucky and at least I’m off to a good start. Hopefully we get more rain Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pretty good rain in Florence. Its still raining.

Happy for y'all for sure. My rainbird system puts a good bit of water on pavement and my doves are so thirsty they don't even pick up when I walk by. Maybe we will see some rain soon.
Of course we will get it when the dolphin come through.![]()
planted friday. got a drizzle. need more.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
We are planting Friday
Old Field was really cool.
That's where I met Ralph, I think.
Witnessed little Simmons smoke a limit with the quickness. He got that honest! Little fucker could barely hold the shotgun up.
Have a phone in that field somewhere.
Mac learned how to become a retriever.
Heard countless Tombo jokes over a cocktail.
Snag a dozen eggs.
Could go on and on
New field was a bit odd at first, but has definitely grown on me.
Might plant mine this weekend, might...

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

It was fro. Cool shoot and cool people.. That was my first time out there. G sat down from me, Cali up above watching.. I shot 14 times, killed my dozen birds, and picked up my hulls after every one. As I was walking out, others were following, and one guy had finished. Inside I was like "damn". I enjoy hunting with and watching guys that can shoot.
I sat next to that pivot once. Hart was at the other end.. probably should have had an iv in one arm.. the birds were spicy that day.
We didn't plant flowers again.. all corn, millet later. We haven't rebounded since the flood took out our second fence. It'll be a test season.
Unfortunately, even under a pivot things are not guaranteed. I'm going to plow my flowers up tomorrow and replant next week I'm just not satisfied with how they look.
That field was fun with the pecan trees between each side, I do miss it but it is now growing 2-year-old longleaf.
