    Default Note to self

If you’re planning on doing the “river trip” through the lock, make sure it’s not down for maintenance. Ended up putting in at Monks Corner so worked out fine.

We’ve just put in there anyway and ridden up and through and back down locks for those that hadn’t done it. Sometimes it’s closed. Better if your car is below it.

Santee Cooper just announced that the locks have officially reopened after completing maintenance. Still, always watch the wind; they can close the operation at their discretion. MG

Locks are back operational. But the William Dennis boat ramp is closed for construction until Spring of '27. If your boat will fit under the 402 bridge, Wadboo Landing is the closest. If not Cypress Gardens. There is a ramp at Swig and Swine, old Hidden Cove, in Moncks Corner but im not sure on its usage.

I put in a Swig and Swine. It was like $75 for overnight parking which I gladly paid. Guy in the tackle shop was super nice and facility great too.
