Roes's 2nd shot of the day is the type of stuff that amazes me. Hits the driver in the pine straw, goes behind a tree. Then he hooks his iron shot right on the green. Just crazy to me how good these guys are!

Bryson went to the high school that's a block from my house.

I picked up Scheffler and Gotterup in my draft. Hard to pass on Scheffler even with the new baby.

I can't foresee not picking Scottie near the top of any lineup.. I just don't. A 1st, t3, t3, t12, and t24 at the Players after winning it twice. His ball striking and driver has been a little off leading up to this, but that's by his standards. I can't get into Bryson.

I saw the comments about golf and covid. I'm thankful that it's in a good spot.. I don't care honestly about the people who it's attracted.. There are only three things on my list, 1st attire, 2nd don't be an asshole, and 3rd pace of play. You can be terrible that's fine, but don't fumble f around and pick up the pace.

4th Turn the damn radio off. I don't play golf to listen to music, especially shitty music.

Agree on attire, ass hole, pace of play and music with restraint. Our group listens, again, with restraint. We all have our own carts, we don't have 4 stations going full blast (or 1). Biggest challenge we face really is pace of play. Combined with people thinking green fees are an entitlement in Pinehurst for the day to take as long as they want, as bad (no golf skills at all) as they want, and as loud as they want, dressed poorly. Oh and get shit canned. Back to The Masters....two 9's on a hole. Yikes.

    Yeah, Fred's hurt my heart

I can imagine it up there. I went up and played Pine Needles over the winter, still one of my favorites up there. I was president of a private club here, for 2 years..18 holes of Ross
as well. I rotated off the board last year.. so I dealt with the good and bad with the growth, mostly good with a great gm and Superintendent.. the course is as good as it's ever been, better honestly. But having a decent membership, active membership is difficult at times when we're one of the few private courses left that doesn't do tee times. It would be cool, if people were civilized.. but some aren't, and entitled assholes shine through.. then pace of play kicks in, mostly on the weekends. Our pace is normally 3 and a half to 3 and 45.

Pace of play is my number 1. If I have to wait constantly I’m not playing. Ruins the game for me. I’m glad our club is not overrun with a bunch of people. It’s nice just showing up about whenever and going off without interference.

Hell, the course has carts with gps/yardage etc, including timer/pace of play. They can put a notice up if someone is behind and it still doesn't help some days. Entitled assholes is correct.

I’m sure entitlement is part of the problem but I think it’s just idiots who didn’t grow up with someone who taught them how to play the game. Same issue we see with people who start hunting without a mentor. They don’t understand the etiquette and get mad when you try to correct them.

There are also some people who just live in their own world and have no concept of time. Unfortunately a lot of those people are bad at golf. That comes back to entitlement and not thinking about other people.

Driven in any sort of traffic lately? People have ZERO awareness or “give a damn” about anything going on around them. It’s a product of how most of an entire generation of people are being raised today. They think the world rotates around them and don’t GAF about anybody but themselves.

I almost T Boned this dumb bitch in Saluda yesterday. Pulled straight out in front of me when I was less than 100 yards from the crossroads. She never even looked either way, never stopped, just slowed down and proceeded to pull right out in front of me. Luckily I saw that she had no intention of stopping and was able to avoid her. It was also one of those rare occasions where you get to see instant karma play out because there was a sheriffs deputy right behind me and he lit her up as soon as I went around her…..

I can handle everything but pace of play. Our course here in Cheyenne is a complete nightmare. Old men who refuse to let you play through as they poke the ball 100 yards down the fairway over and over, all while walking. Then you get the young kids who are blaring music and searching for their ball for 20 minutes. I only play it early and late in the year. Dead of summer and a 5 hour round is normal. I just suck it up and drive to Colorado or Nebraska now.

Just drove from Table Rock back to Edisto. Forget a safety margin between the vehicle in front of you. You will get some redneck cocksucker with tinted glass whip in front of you and then you can't see shit. They are all on Wellbutrin or some other SSRI and couldn't pay attention if they wanted to. I bailed at Orangeburg. Next time I bail in Laurens...
