Will that boat troll for nearly 500 miles? Thought you were leaving from G town? Fish’s numbers are from Charleston. It’s 2 years away it seems but I’m not really sure why you wouldn’t just assume a bladder tank? Friend and I demoed that boat in 45. It’s no sea boat in just 3-4. I’m glad they’re doing the 50 now. I think it will be nice. Sounds like you pimped it out right. Just take the extra fuel?! Sounds like you’re sitting the fence or trying to be talked into it. Not sure what the point is here.

My concern about the fuel bladder is spilling diesel all over the boat. The floor and covering boards are teak.

I saw a video last night that gave me reassurance it can be done with proper precautions. Planning on 150 or more gallons. The boat will start out heavy. Unless we plan on trolling almost the entire way we would not make it.

From my sailing days with Dad, there are some parts of the trip the non-stop troll that were poor fishing. Would be nice to run through those areas a bit faster.

We looked at the 46 BF. The motors were directly under the salon. Access to motors was under the couches. It was too loud and the diesel fumes would flood the inside when you opened the access.

Happy for you, DT. Y'all gonna fish the series?

Got it. Agreed on the 46 from what I saw. The 50 is NICE. There are bladder tanks available that work great I believe. Pat Healey will probably sell you one with the boat. I’ll ask guy I fish with the brand name or whatever. He has one and has used on Bermuda trip with no problems. It can be done without putting diesel all over your deck for sure. Then on the way back you could just run across from Abacos and up coast of Fl. Duck in when need fuel and spend he night. Then home.

Tournament fished with the wrong crew...

We treated every tournament weather it was local kingfish, cat island wahoo, or governors cup like a normal day on the pond. Left the dock with plenty to eat and plenty of cold beer. Hit the dock with not very many cold beers left, if any. Winning money was just an added bonus to the day & we won our share.

I will say, dredge fishing is certainly not my favorite, right in front of high speed trolling.

I will probably fish with the HMY crew this year at their tournament. I am not currently interested in tournament fishing.

    We are not that good.

Right now looking for a small window to go on the 32. Wind won't quit.

Tournament fishing is fun with the right people, fun fishing is too.
The extra stress isn't fun when you miss.

Your rig will be great for fun meat fishing and billfishing too!
