    Default [ ] Maple Blueberry sausage

    For years I've seen the line "Maple Blueberry Sausage [ ]" when filling out the paperwork at the deer processors.

    Sorry but yuck. I don't drink flavored coffee and I certainly don't eat fruit flavored venison...

    But, curiosity finally got the best of me. I checked the box. Sunday morning, I made my usual grits and fried some of the sausage with the blueberry stuff. It's not world changing but it's not bad either. I think I'll check the box again next season.

    Yeah, IMO breakfast sausage should be medium or hot.

    That being said, I had some the other day that was maple with pineapple and it was good. I'd still take medium or hot though!

    I had some jalapeño cheddar cranberry summer sausage which I never would’ve picked myself but it was incredible. Sweet and savory especially with pork works really well.

    a place down the road from me sells "Cranberry sage" pork sausage and it eats pretty decent. I prefer the hot maple, but wife does not.

    Mild or hot at my processor. I usually get some of both


    I wish they had an option to go ahead and pay them to press some patties out instead of just bulk or link
