Anyone on here have a good prop suggestion for this boat? H18 with Yamaha 115 vmax.
It currently has a powertech ptr3 21p prop. Runs great in a straight line but I have to trim way down around corners. Getting about 6200 rpm at 51 mph as it sits.

I got nothing except that around corners, it’s still an aluminum boat.

You ain’t wrong.
But I don’t think it should blow out the prop so easy when turning.
Is your current prop vented? On my war wagle i had a merc prop that was vented and and it would slip in turns, plugged the vents and that fixed it. I didnt need a vented prop anyway as the motor had plenty of ass to get out if the home with a full load.
You running the right prop.

HyperLifts and HydroDynamic hulls are obviously not the same, but when I strapped a 4-blade PowerTech onto my 1651HD it turned a TON better.
Might be with a shot.

Find a 21 ybs and run it. Or have somone add a little cup to the peop you have so it will hold water better

Yeah this hyperlift hull is definitely another world from the mod V hulls I’m used to.
I have seen where the 4 blade props provide a little more lift and grab better for these boats.
If I go with a 4 blade should I keep the same pitch?
Current prop is not vented.

I have an h20 bay, and I'm thinking about trying a 4 blade for the same reason. Plus my hole shot sucks with this 17 pitch 3 blade on my 115hp.
I saw on another forum where powertech makes the Nrs4 which is similar to the Yamaha turbo 4.
Might lose a mph or two but supposedly they handle a lot better all around.
Might try that or the Yamaha talon SS but I’d have to drop to a 20p.
Yamaha wants ALOT for their props. They are probably worth it though…
You have the right prop if hitting 6100 rpm and 50mph
Most folks say that a mercury prop performs better than the Yamaha props
Additionally, 115 Sho is the same motor as the F130 so it is not the same as other 115 motors by other brands.
ECU flash puts those motors right over 150 hp which is sometimes enough hp to get you over the bubble if you are between props.
