Anybody ever transferred a watercraft title from NC to SC without title being notarized? Have done it for a vehicle as SC doesn’t require the notary, curious about watercraft if anybody has done this before.

No, and you will need a separate bill of sale notarized for the motor. There is a process for it. Be sure to ask if it has ever been titled in SC, because if it has, there can be some unexpected pitfalls. MG

Read a few posts on THT and got mixed answers. Getting the signed titles not an issue, but lining everything up to be notarized timely is geographically challenging.
out of state = notarized
In-state = no notary
Any UPS store will notarize it for ~$10, I like going to the owner's bank to have it notarized. BTW, I also place my DL and the sellers DL beside all signed documents and take a picture of every deal I do. Then I send a copy to the seller for their records. I do this in-state or out of state. It saved me a couple of times and caused me to walk on one that I suspect REALLY saved me.
If you think geography is challenging, try titling a boat in SC without it, that's challenging. You do not have to be present to get their signature notarized, but I would. MG
