Been an awful lot of seismic activity in South Carolina this week. Three in Charleston area earlier this week and tonight in irmo area. Makes me wonder if we are about to experience a major seismic event in the near future.

    Thoughts?

I was told if a big one comes, the ground will act like jello. We are not sitting on hard rock like the west coast. A big one here will be ugly.

My wife and I were in the kitchen around 6:45pm in Irmo/Ballantine area this evening and it was my first time really feeling and hearing one.

My neighbors were freaking out. Said it sounded like an explosion. We are about 4 miles across the lake from the epicenter.

I got home shortly after, missed the whole thing. LOL

Months ago I searched around to see what, if any, damage occurred as far South as Edisto from the 1886 Charleston quake. Shoot, it wrecked shop as far South as Savannah...
