    Default Pup

So will be in the market for a new pup soon. I am leaning towards a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good breeder.

Just do your homework as I'm sure you have...definitely a one of a kind breed...very stubborn and most of the time smarter than the trainer...require a lot of attention....one man/family dogs...most loyal breed ever...had to put mine down with Cancer at the age of 14...hardest thing I've ever had to do...shoot Strick9 a message on here or pm me for his contact....he has a male that's a beast and has fathered several litters of pups....

Calibogue on here also lives in the Chessie world. He has a good one, and has had several other good ones in the past.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

Like Hambone said do your homework, and make sure both parents have all their health clearances. DM is a bitch and will break your heart.

Chessies are just 150lb dachshunds. They will do what is required if it suits them. If it doesn't, they will do it under protest anyway, but there will be a bill coming...

I tried to send you a private message, but apparently my premium membership expired and it would not let me send any more private messages. I’m actually breeding my sire with a female out of Virginia tomorrow. If you’re interested, I can get you more information on my sire as well as the bitch owner’s information. Mods if this violates some rule please delete or move accordingly.

I did renew my premium membership so I should be able to get messages at some point soon.

    Got it Baydog, thanks.

I am still missing a few people. When you pay with a different email than you signed up with 20 years ago, we don't know who you are or how to attribute payment to your username...

Chessies rule.... Anything else is just a dog!
If you got what it takes, they are awesome and will love you, your family and anything else you ask of them.
If you're gonna leave em in a kennel all day while you're at work or whatever, get a lab or a golden-doodle.
Send me a pm, this boy, Cy is 20 months and killing it!

It's been my experience that you will get out what you personally put into a dog. If you are using a pro trainer, personally work WITH the trainer.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.
