    Default Secretarial Order 3447

SO 3447 makes most federally managed lands in South Carolina default‑open to hunting and fishing unless specifically closed for safety or conservation reasons, expanding public access.

Yeah…… but the key sentence in that is “unless managers decide otherwise” (paraphrasing)

I’ve known 5 Federal Refuge managers in my life and not a damn one would ever consider opening up an acre for waterfowl hunting.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
