I finally got a chance to shoot all of the new bows, and make a choice. I went over to Augusta and spent the day with Casey Crawley and his staff this past week. They were very patient as I shot 6-7 new bows from different manufacturers, and I tried to be as open minded as possible. The carbon Hoyt felt like a familiar woman, but my choice came down to the Matthews ARC 34 and the Darton 33. The back wall of the Darton was just a little more solid, so I ordered one, and I’m excited for it to get here. Bows have come a long long way since I last shopped around. The biggest difference may be the smoothness of the draw, as 70 lbs feels like my 61 lb Hoyt.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

Glad you found one you like! I have heard good things about the Darton 33 but never shot one. Look forward to more bow kill stories from you!

Good example of why bow hunters have the better than thou reputation.
