    Half-price was fuckin' awesome!

I'm waiting with you... Hopefully it won't be months before I can pick it up.

I actually missed that sale, but that’s alright I was going to buy it anyway.

I’ve seen some of that. As Sterling said, it’s a really, really small percentage. It seems like if they would put caliber and barrel length restrictions on it, the sample size would be even smaller or non existent.

Mine is going on an Evoke in 6.5 CM with a 22” barrel. I’m not really worried about any failures with that setup, but if something happens…….i know they will make it right.

Length and weight were the most important things for me when selecting the Scythe, then sound suppression. It’s my son’s gun and he is 12, but can really only use one arm and hand. Anything to make maneuvering a rifle easier was my priority. My second priority was making the rifle quieter, it’s got a brake and will literally blow your eardrums out without ear protection.

Anyway, I’ll report back after shooting it.

I like Phillip from what I know talking to him at my old stores, we've had a few good conversations on the subject. He always told me to drop by, and he'd make it easy. I want it to be easier.. I've thought about putting one on a couple rifles, but I can't hear anyways so there's that.

You'll love the OCL. I currently have 5 rimfire cans (& another OTW), and the OCL murders the competition.

NEXT, I wanna get a B&T Print-X Tiger to see how it compares. I think that'll probably be my final one, until I find a decent $150-200 can.
I was impressed with the feedback on the OCL Ti 22. Glad to hear your good opinion on it.

I considered the Mask, but it's double the weight, and since this one is primarily for a pistol it seems a better choice.

I was expecting higher numbers than that, so hopefully any backlog will clear before 2/1 when the next Democrat shutdown is likely to start.

Yeah - the weight is definitely noticeable on .22 handguns (when going between SS and Ti on a handgun). I have a full stainless can, and it stays on long guns.

As far as speed goes, Shooter's Choice has already posted about getting two Form 4's back in under 24 hours.

There's a lot of speculation about the forms now being mostly checked by computers with little human element involved. Seems like the only logical solution to knocking out submissions in a timely manner.

Where did yall get a deal on the Scythe TI?
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

    Shooter's Choice Black Friday sale.

I waffled for a few hours because I didn't "need" it, and have several other pokers in the fire, but ultimately I caved. It was too good of a deal to pass up.

Heck of a deal and appreciated the heads up. At that price I’ll run it til it breaks then get it fixed and run it more. For my use I don’t foresee any issues with the suppressor.

Oh. I thought there might be some way to completely avoid the stamp hassle and wait time. Frankly, the price isn't the most egregious part of the requirement for me. I think the whole NFA is blatantly unconstitutional. Google "infringed".

Well - it is what it is. You wanna change it, go throw hundreds of millions of dollars into legal battles that will mostly fall upon deaf ears.

Or, just do like the rest of us sheep, and go deal with the "hassle." After the 1st one, there is ZERO "hassle." Whip out a credit card, make a few clicks and then wait a few days.

Yep. That's kind of what my post was about.

I don't jump through hoops. Therefore, I don't have any silencers. Hoped Trump DOJ would fix that mess, but they won't...

It's 2.4 oz heavier, i have both on handguns and unnoticeable weight difference.
Both are awesome, again the only difference is the FRP which was important to me
The Dead Air Mask 22 weighs around 6.5 ounces, while the Otter Creek Labs (OCL) Titanium 22 is approximately 4.1 ounces

Y’all are crazy. The scythe is the only can I know failing like this. It’s a huge safety issue to me. “They’ll make it right”? What happens when you frag the person sitting next to you? How are they going to make that right?

    https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/...1#post-4497632

Maybe it’s still a small percentage.

But I wouldn’t own one because it’s orders of magnitude more than any other can I’m aware of.

At some point something catastrophic will happen.

Look at some of the more recent posts. Scythe’s in 22-250s and 6.5 creed are letting go

    Remember - this won't cycle a lot of semi-autos.

I've got a couple cases, but only run it in my bolt guns. Every now and then I'll run it in my 5" 10/22; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Want quiet and reliable, then use "CCI Suppressor" ammo.

However, if running SBRs, then CCI standard velocity (1,070fps) works just fine and stays quiet when using shorter barrels. Most of my junk is 8" or less, so that helps. I buy cases of the shit when I can find it under $0.045.

my suppressed .22 handgun won't reliably run anything in the 700fps range
the 800 - 1000fps CCI stuff is stronger and 100% reliable and damn near just as quiet
