I've watched every episode, and I think Rinella seems like a pretty good dude. I appreciate the honesty of the program, which focuses on both his successes and failures. I've heard some hate on here, but I don't get it, other than him being a Yankee. What am I missing?

Rinella is an exceptionally accomplished person. I liked his early stuff but lately, I've kind'of lost interest...no reason given other than I cut cable and his podcasts are too long and boring.

I agree with most of this. I do think he’s one of the best in that genre and one of the “realest” in the influencer world.

His brother isn’t a fan.

I don't have any problems with him.. I've watched only a few shows though, don't do podcasts, they're nerdy. He seems to respect the animal, and does a decent job trying to prepare them to eat and cooking. That's big in my book. If I had a complaint, maybe his voice.

I agree with FC on some of what he said.. I don't enjoy many or any hunting TV shows or social media hunters. I've caught a glimpse of him on like one hunting show, the others were like history things, like a series he did, one being on Roanoke. I don't like the thought of teaching grown men to hunt, the world needs gatherers, go ahead and be a beta at that point in your life. Friends of mine, buying corporate blinds, release ponds, having to pay attention to dipshit customers that only want hero shots.. F that. I love it too much, every part of it to tolerate the inept.

I think Steven Rinella is coming around to Matt Rinellas thoughts. R3 is a money grab by the “conservation” groups and states. Check out huntquietly.org it’s Matt Rinellas group.

I personally enjoy some of meat eater due to the respect of the game, the drive he has and the importance of preparing food from the game. His podcast gets a little long but I listen to the ones that interest me.

Hes kind of a goober bit at least they show respect to the kill and they love adding merriams gobbling to their eastern turkey hunts. Other than that him being a goober doesn't bother me. There are way worse people to watch. Like Feetdowns boy Chad Belding

Steve had to be commercial - ie, he had to increase the "market share" and "market size" of his owners. Matt didn't have such limits.

I’ve noticed that opinions on hunting media tend to hinge on where someone hunts. Hunters who focus on private land usually enjoy shows like MeatEater, The Hunting Public, Pinhoti, or at least aren’t bothered by them. Public-land hunters, on the other hand, are far more likely to view these shows critically.

I read it and enjoyed it a lot.

The meat eater show is better than most of the stereotypical redneck cliche with heavy metal soundtrack shows.
