    Default Dog Ramp for Truck/trailer

Looking for a collapsible ramp to unload dogs out of truck and trailer. Would like to find something that will fold or collapse down to a manageable size.

There are. I was looking for some first hand experience from some of the dog guys.

Everyone I know has the rigid type. Not sure I’ve seen any of the collapsible ones to give an honest opinion.

I usually just grab my dogs as they come out of the crate or trailer and lower them to the ground. It’s been working for years and years and I haven’t had a need for a gadget yet.

This... jumping to a hard surface is tough on their joints. I do the same thing.

I used a rigid, two piece, telescoping ramp for my dog the last few years of her life.
It worked perfect and stored nicely in the bed. I had a large, plastic storage box with enough gear in it that it wouldn't slide around slid up against the back wall of the bed and left a small gap between the box and the sidewall of the bed. When not being used, I would turn it on its side and slide it into the gap between the box and the sidewall. Never had a problem with it falling over while driving.
When needed, I'd grab it and slide it out, extended to its full length and lay it flat. When finished using it, it was a simple turn it on its side and slide it back into the bed between the box and the sidewall of the bed.

Super easy to deploy and store as needed.

Edited to add- I've never hauled a dog in a open truck bed. I've always had a camper shell on my truck.
