Banding/tagging data from birds and fish will never cease to amaze me. I just saw a post the other day of a blue fin that traveled close to 12,000 miles in 275ish days…ducks returning to the same place after traveling 1000s of miles, all fascinating journeys IMO

He sent some pictures and told me it was banded in Ontario. Was it reward banded too?

It's nice to see an Ontario mallard being killed in SC. Back in the day, all of the banded mallards I killed in SC were from Ontario so I coveted a "Manitoba mallard". We didn't realize how good we had it...

I have 7 or 8 SC kilt Mallards banded at Thunder Bay, Ontario. Two in one morning was a nice Bonus. Those were the days.

That particular body of water in now planted in Peach trees.

I had a friend that caught and tagged a striper in the canal between Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion. It was caught two days later in the Congaree in Columbia. I believe that's 70+ miles.
