    Default Old Technology

My wife and I are in the process of cleaning out her parents house since their passing. Finding all kinds of interesting stuff from 50+ years of them living there. Haven't seen or thought of these gadgets in a long time. I remember when this thing was cutting edge. Any of you old fellers remember these?

Pretty sure that was for a record player. So you could stack the vinyl!

It let you play 45s on the stereo. It fit over the thin shaft that the LPs normally use. You also had to change the spin speed.

Yep, 45 stacking adapter. High tech. Like the time we got the "rotary" for the antenna. I no longer had to go outside to turn the antenna while my brother or Dad yelled left/right turn instructions. At least we only had 3 channels...

    You are just being upity!

We could not get ABC consistently until WPDE came on line. The first wpde studio used to be the skating rink.

Dr. McDonald invented that. He was from England but bought the Country Club of SC golf course. He stayed here and traveled to his other villas in the Caribbean and Europe. He also owned a lot of property beside I20 in the Wateree Swamp near Luggoff.

I remember having the rotary and using a label maker to identify where each station came in the best and putting a label there.

I remember thumping the TV when my cousin was on it trying to get his attention.. 4 channels here until I was almost thirty, didn't even have the internet until I got married, dial up, tried to find the site that year because of a hunting Pic of a group of us was on there..

A week and a year until 50 for me, can't wait, I can get into senior events
