Willy, I hunt public from time to time but not often.
I'm assuming DNR "cleaned it up" to some degree I just feel it is #1, not possible to clean up every kernel of corn someone spread, #2, not the responsibility of DNR to get on their hands and knees and sift through the leaf litter, pine needles, etc to try and remove every kernel!
Therefore, it's baited until they determine otherwise and there is no sign of wildlife usage in the area just like any other bait case.
So, they closed down maybe 10% of a 1000 acre property.

Ok here’s my explanation. You seem to have a burr in your saddle and are painting with a broad brush. The fact that you’ve responded so much to this point from others appears to be an attempt to be understood. But we know it’s your plea to be heard. You thought many would agree with your screw the man property owner Schtick but it backfired. “Usually inherited” tells us all we need to know about you. Tell me, is your private land access “inherited” as well? Would that matter? Since you have that access, do you also not care about Joe Public? Or are you the only exception? Sorry not sorry you weren’t in the lucky sperm club. Owning land doesn’t preclude one from understanding public land hunter scenarios. I’d argue it may heighten it bc most are good stewards of their land and couldn’t imagine not having a say so or input on the land they hunt, like the public hunter. But how does owning land require you to give a shit about what the public hunter deals with? I’d say you should catch a knee here, catch your breath, maybe go take a nap and take the L, and live to fight another day in another thread. Maybe next time ease your toe in the water and take the temp before diving in the deep end, where you’re clearly over your head.

Calibogue clarified his point. I recognized I misinterpreted it. This thread was over 2 weeks ago. Thanks for trying to sound intelligent, relevant, and important. My multiple responses was to clarify the wrong assumption by several that my motive was jealousy not to get people to agree w me. I stand by the point I was trying to make overall. It wasn’t applicable to the post i responded to. But thanks for the life and internet advice. My advice to u if u want to feel relevant and important don’t show up late after its been resolved and try to stir the pot w your interpretation that missed the point.

Just answering your question Doc. I don’t come here for relevance. Almost everything I say in here is tongue and cheek poking the bear a little. Some of yall are wound a little too tight. Settle down. Thanks for your response though in a thread that was over two weeks ago that you’re still checking…..Hope y’all all enjoyed the Holiday.
