Went to see Mr. Scott this morning. Looked at the Prime RVx+ 34 and the Mathews Arc 30 and 34. Prime was a really nice bow. Felt good but was longer than I cared for. The Arc 34 was nice and I really liked it but just felt giant compared to the Triax I have been using. Arc 30 came home with me. Feels awesome with a smooth draw. Was waiting on me as it already was set at 28”. Very pleased with it and look forward to hunting with it for the next 8-10 years or when the itch comes back for a new one.

Mr. Scott has one of those Bear lefties for my boy, so I am going to take him and get him set up.

Sharp looking bow D! I’m in the same boat. Sold my 2010 z7 a couple years back. Had some neck issues that kept me from drawing a bow. Went the crossbow route for a couple deer. Just don’t feel right. Time to go look at some of these new models.

Is this Scott at Crossroads Archery?
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

I shot the 30” and 34” Mathews ARC last week, same draw length and same weight. The 34” felt noticeably stiffer and harder to draw than the 30”, which surprised me. I usually prefer longer ATA bows – 32” is my sweet spot, and if I had to choose off ATA alone I’d pick the 34”. But on these two, the 34” just felt tougher to get back.

For anyone who has shot both, did you see the same thing?

That Z7 was one of the best....along with the switchback.

Spent some time with the ARCs today. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t try the “comfort” mod. It’s 7fps slower at my draw length (29.5) with my hunting arrow (445gn) but it completely changes the draw cycle for the better on the Mathews.

Anyone messed with the new Hoyt and the tuning system?

Boy and I made another trip to Summerton to find him something. Mr. Scott said he had some left handed bows that would fit the boy. He selected a Bear bow and now we are ready to start the practice to get him ready for the field.
