    Default 2016 & 2018 SC Floods

While fishing the little Pee Dee river yesterday, I was surprised at the abandoned homes tht it appears folks just walked away from after the historic floods. I was also surprised most were built at ground level. I mist have seen 6 or 7 nice homes abandoned.

Probably too much government regulation in place to make it affordable to build them back.

    See California fires for reference.

I would guess those took FEMA buyouts, and if so, cannot ever get flood insurance again, which means you can never get a mortgage. It is a shame that they are allowed to leave them abandoned. God only knows what science experiments are going on in those places. MG
