doves have gone from something fun to shoot on a fall afternoon to my alert when deer are approaching my corn pile and they all noisily take off.

DRDUCK, what area of the state is your dove field in?
I hope you don't come back Monday and tell us you should have shot yesterday because the birds left. It'll be great if your field is the harbinger of a flood of birds to all of us, just in time for Thanksgiving!
Anybody shoot this past Saturday? My club scratched due to lack of birds. A friend's club had birds Wednesday but they were gone Saturday.

We just had some birds show up. Not a lot, but there were between 50-100 sitting in the field midday today.

Nobody EVER calls me…
We’ve got a few, myself or another member is trying to get down there to cut some strips and hopefully we’ll be able to shoot next week
Where did the doves go?
We have 2 fields in the Upstate with almost zero doves. (Spartanburg County and York County)
In years past we have had good winter shoots, but it is not looking good so far.
Is anyone seeing any doves?
I watched a couple dozen fly yesterday morning.. more then we've had in a bit.
Were not looking good either...usually have big numbers in the late season , but not looking great right now . Of course this time of year , that can change real quick .

My club doesn't have any and my field at the farm is empty as usual. I did hear a third hand report that folks down on the Florida panhandle are seeing more birds than they ever have.
Ive had terrible numbers at my place this year. Pretty disappointing considering how much work, time, and money goes into it. Im considering planting entire field for deer corn next year.

Nobody in South Carolina seems to be holding good numbers of birds. I've got 200 maybe 250 that I've had since the week after Thanksgiving but it doesn't seem to have increased at all. I got a friend in North Carolina in his Fields related up but he always has them.

A handful at the most. The blackbirds have been mopping up the flowers for the past few weeks, so I'm going to mow it all down soon. Rode around it over the weekend, and the flowers appear to be empty.
