Politicians view success as growth. Growth means more facilities and more homes for workers and more taxes and less leases to hunt on. BTW Where will all the IP land end up.

IP doesn't own any land.
They sold it all about 15 years ago

It was all part of the business model.

The conservation Bank sunset a few years ago. I brought it back. I have funded conservation with the bank, DNR, and Parks at record amounts. I won the Green Tie award doing it.
Yes I develop. Physical Therapy is no longer profitable.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
I read that as you conserve with everyone else’s money. Is conservation a part of your development planning?

Tooo many bitches here. You complain about everything.
You want conservation and you got it.
I will compare my conservation credentials anytime. Let us see yours.
And for those who complain about developers, I assume you are not hypocrites. In your line of work, do you serve out-of-staters?
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
I damn sure don’t vote to give OOS businesses or industries a tax break to come here and then import more people. I understand migration is going to happen but my state government doesn’t need to take the taxpayers dollars and throw gasoline on the fire when they are already 30 years behind on infrastructure because of their ineptitude.
I didn’t write that to attack you, I just simply stated how it read. I support the conservation bank and have been involved in conservation over the years through land trusts. In fact my family put a sizable easement on a large tract in Eastover. In my line of work (indecent insurance agency)I serve almost anyone but I damn sure don’t look out of state for business. As far as I am concerned we could seal the state borders and put a moratorium on building for awhile until the State gets its shit together and figures out how to manage what they got. Y’all have a sizable surplus so you don’t need anymore but like any government it’s never enough.

DT,
How’s the crops looking at Ramsey Grove this year?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have not looked at Ramsey yet. I plan to drone it soon.
I'm working on an easement in Gtown as we speak.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
Question:
Do you get credit for being a "conservationist" if you get paid to do it?
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
Observation or reality check for you. ALL conservation credits are funded with other people’s money if a tax credit or deduction is given to those doing it. Further, if you are a developer and you put land in conservation easement as part of the deal or use wetland mitigation credits, is that a bad thing? Not allowed? Do only private parties get credit for easements with you? I think we need to whoa up on development in this state for sure. But I’m not sure what your point is here?
Aaaaannd, crickets, from all the wealthy land owners that received tax credits for same.....
