QAD and the debate is over.

If you would of used one last year, you wouldn't of had to use a dog.

I use ACE brand hot melt and have never had an issue. I hate inserts that are epoxied or super glued in. Back in the day, we would have to time the broadhead and it was a pain in the ass with those inserts.

I wounded him on purpose, 7 year old bucks are too easy to kill. He should be more of a challenge this year.

Any issues with them pulling out in the bad cold? Like Ohio in January cold. I use golf club 2pt epoxy for HITs and insert iron for 1/2 outs and the others. That has been my only reservation with hot melt, I’ve heard mixed reviews when used in the cold but I have zero firsthand experience. I can barely knock hits out with a drill bit using slow cure epoxy.

No experience with them in bad cold. Coldest I've hunted with them is probably when the low that morning was in the high 20's
