Beaver are not a threatened species so why transplant them. The reason they have not been there for 400 years is they were destructive and they were wiped out. I think they made good hats too. Sorta like the grey wolf. Exterminated by early settlers because they were destructive. Now USFW want to release wolves where there are none even though they are destructive and locals don't want them there.
